Thank you for the fine photos. There is no hiding that beautiful hull of Oceanic II. P&O destroyed much of the superstructure in Sept '78, but the hull is still a marvel.

Thanks for sharing! Oceanic II has one of the prettiest bridgefronts and as NAL mentioned her hull lines are stunning.

i agree, one of my favorite old ships loved her as Victoria, wish i could buy all of them and stick it in my backyard

I was there and you are right: the light was horrible! I hoped that sun will come out, but no chance... so my pictures are very bad!

BUT: I saw OCEANIC II arriving. Will show some pictures the next time, today I have no time ... she arrived in the morning when sun was shining!

And by the way: there was one more cruise ship in the port... did you see it? MSC LIRICA is docked there in the yard! But no chance to get a nice photo...

Unfortunately I made a wrong move early in the morning and hurted my back. I hardly could walk

so I had to stay at home.
I did see Funchal depart via the webcam.

last week on transitting north sea canal i noticed the former cruise ship aijavoskiy (??) now sporting the name rochdale one
had forgotten all about her as i assumed she had gone for scrap ages ago
