Great!! Love the pics on deck during the turn, and of course seeing that 'High Tech' instrument, the water bottle on a piece of string stuck to the wall with duct tape.. LOL

Thanks for the update and glad all is well.

Welcome back AKB

I hear there wasnt a lot of wind but quite a bit of fog.

Thanks for the photos..off to study them all now.

Is the shape of the pub different from the ones on FR and LB ? I am having a problem imaging the pub singer having to stand infront of the painted man on the wall

I think what threw me was the right hand side window looked like one of the Pub windows but when I studied some of my pics from FR and LB I realised they were used as display "window"...duh me
Cant wait to get onboard in 26 days...she looks even better than her sisters and I loved the LB

I certainly am, James, and can't wait. I'm on deck 9 with a balcony. I was talking to someone going on Island Princess as I flew to LA (actually most people I talked to were on Island Princess!) but he was a single traveller who told me they don't allow singles to have a balcony. I told him to go with someone else but he likes Princess.

I've only done the what I call maiden inaugural on Norwegian Gem as we were the first inaugural of millions but that was a lot of fun. The daily newspaper, however, said the maiden voyage was the 2nd October when all she did was travel from the yard to Rotterdam.

We booked on a guarantee basis, which was fine, got allocated our cabin the other day, really pleased, deck 10 inside, midship, perfect, then my daughter got taken into hospital midweek (long story...) so decided I would ring up see if I g=could get her booked on as well as a little surprise for her, all inside 4 berths now gone, only possible option was upgrade to D1 balcony and pay an extra £1200!!! Ouch, when I have paid a shade over £500 in the first place for the two of us, I dont think my daughter will be coming!!!! Oh well, never mind, might have to find a short break to take her on from Southampton later in the year..... shame...... never miond!!!! :-)

Probably going to look at booking a 7 night Ventura next year with the free kids options, makes it sooooo affordable, we have Aurora booked later in the year, 13 nights, 2 cabins, 7 of us going, £3000 plus £300 OBC, bargain! :-)

Sorry for waffling on!!

James

What great pics.

Patsy, Princess certainly do allow you to book a balcony as a single, I have always booked one or a suite - they just hammer the single supplement, for a suite you pay 200%.

Many more sharp turns and they might be calling her Poseidon of the Seas !

It's less than week to departure IOTS but still much to do!

Today was arranged party for the yard personel, everybody was happy and relived that IOTS will be delivered "1 day" ahade schedule!
I think it's great achievement in latest ferry delyvery problems Aker had.
She is beautiful!

You should all be proud of what you have achieved, I am grateful that you will be delivering another beautiful ship for me to enjoy 3 times this year.

Is she still leaving on 17th April?

Do you know when she is scheduled to arrive in Oslo?

I've just learned that IoTS will be in Southampton on 31 May, the day I'm boarding Oriana. Oriana is at the QEII terminal, IoTS at City & Sea Princess at Mayflower. All three have a 1700 scheduled departure. Hopefully, I'll get to see IoTS come past us.
