I have a friend buy me a model on his cruise on the VOTS and he told me he had gotten the last 2 resin models. That they're getting smaller ones. Anyone know if this is what all the cruise lines are doing?

Quite possibly. My Caribbean Princess "replica" is about half the size of my Ocean Princess model. It's getting so you'll have to pony up some more serious money at Scherbak if you really want a model of the ship.
