Very nice picture, Joe ! But it's photoshopped, isn't it ?

Anyway, I think she looks really great... I've always liked Vistas and that one is by far the best looking.

No, it is a real picture from the sea trials (I was in a helicopter).

It would take more than Photoshop to turn a Vista into and Ocean Liner...

The pictures are so good they don't look real. The reflections of the waves on the dark hull are impressive.

Great pics! Along w/the verandahs I can see another design feature that should please former QE2 passengers-plenty of forward facing public rooms and deckspace. I also like the design of the raised platform on the foredeck.

Still not happy w/the stubby funnel and exhaust pipes but the QE2 inspired mast looks good as it does on Arcadia as well.

One thing. Why does the QV have the right funnel color but the QM2 doesn't? The QM2 should have the same funnel color.

Are they ever going to change that?

Looks to me as if the funnel is right (vermillion) but the boot topping is wrong (should be a duller red not vermillion). Maybe that's where they went wrong with QM2, trying to match the funnel with the boot topping??

I think she looks pretty darn nice. Interesting to compare her to her "sisters"

I think I like the stack on the Arcadia best, but otherwise, I like the new QV the most of the Vistas. I know she is just another new cruise ship, but I am not sure of any new large ships that I find more attractive. I think I might like the new Seabourn ships better, but they are definitely of a different scale. I find this QV to be better looking than the NCL Dawn sisters, MSC Musica sisters, big P&O and Princess sisters, new Carnival & Costa jumbos, or the awkward Aida sisters. She is the best of the Vista's for me as I said. It will be interesting to see how the new Costa version looks, more Spirit or Vista, we will have to see.... Maybe I might like the Freedom class, as they are nicely sleek for their huge size, but I think the dark hull and dark glass balconies of the QV breaks up her mass better.

I like QV as well, but also like the HAL Vistas. I cannot say much for Arcadia....at least externally.

I have always liked the looks of the Spirit's and Vista's. The Spirit Class slightly better. This being said, QV looks good. It's easy to see her heritage as a Vista, which in this case is not a bad thing. QV is a hybrid between the two classes, and the result is eye pleasing and the Cunard livery only helps. I also like how the build up around the funnel compliments the forward build up above the bridge. Interesting that the aft lifeboat davits are of a different design then the forward set. The aft style looks very much like those used on PRIDE OF AMERICA. I wonder why the difference? I don't think it was necessary on any previous Vista or Spirit.

My biggest disappointment with the Vista's are the interiors. Layout and decor in the case of HAL. Hopefully QV will be a vast improvement, more in line with the Spirit Class which have a superb interior layout.

I like QV a lot, I put one of these pictures as my computer background. The ship only needs some black paint in some places to look even better. I can't wait to see her with QE2 in Port Everglades, only four months away .

here is a question... Looking closely at the larger shots, I see a small pool / hot tub on the so caled "observation" deck forward. This makes it look like that deck might actually be for the crew rather than passengers. Does any one know for sure?

It was not clear which NY ports the three Queens were using a while back, but I assume that all three may well not share the same port.

At least they can sail together, that will be a nice Kodak moment. Too Bad QM2 will not be with QV and QE2 at Ft. Lauderdale, she won't be here until October 2008, too much to wait. I used to see her many times during the winter months docked at port, she was even visible from I-95.
