Bur seriously, in 2003 I finally persuaded my wife to make a cruise and we did a six-day on Caronia.
What a ship, and what a cruise!
The memories of seeing a whale, lunch out on deck in Hardangerfjord and walking on Briskdal Glacier are still some of my fondest...

It took almost 20 years from the first time I was introduced to ships via a Sea Classics magazine with Titanic on the cover. I followed cruises ships by making friends with the lady at the local travel agency and begging brochures of QE2 and France from her. I wrote the cruise line head offices and begged posters of their ships.
Like most of use I built models (albeit horribly) of all the great liners, over and over again for 30 more years.
When I became a TA I took 3-4 cruises a year, some comp'd and some at my own expense.
I havent been on a cruise now in over 3 years. I am grateful to have had the opportunity, when I did, to cruise that much. I dont suspect I will cruise again for a long time. I live the life of an 'armchair passenger' through all of your tales adventures and pictures.
I miss the sea.

It would be tough to be a stow-away these days with the high-tech security systems in-place.
