Next week m.s. Noordam will dry-docked in Victoria Canada. To receive here new pod. The cost fore the job 40 million dollar. Hope to share pictures soon of the job. An friend is working a/b Oosterdam and he will take pictures fore me.

Just got off Oosterdam a few hours ago, sailing up from San Diego for 3 days. We managed 18.8 knots on the voyage; they pushed it all the way in an attempt to get here in time for a high tide this evening for entering the dry dock. Only 931 passengers aboard, plus ship yard workers. It was great value, just $92.00 for a 3 night voyage; 16:00 from San Diego, two full days at sea, and docking here in Victoria at 13:00.

Grant just receive an mail from my friend a/b the Oosterdam. He reports that they where just docked at Victoria. And that they would sail to the dock in about 2 hrs (23.00 hrs Dutch time) by now they must be in dock. Hope to receive soon pictures of here in dock........

HAL is going to have to sell quite a few of those $92.00 cruises to pay for a 40 million dollar POD!

OOSTERDAM is now entering the dock as I type. I will try and get a few pic of the POD as well. I can see it sitting on the dock from my office window. Just departed from the dock was the ZAANDAM.

We were just on the Oosterdam, got off April 21.
First time on HAL. So much better than Celebrity,
RCI, Princess. Really impressed with everything,
especially the music in the lounges.

Does the shipyard that the Oosterdam is in have
a website and webcam?

I'm glad that you enjoyed your time on the Oosterdam. I find it funny though, another perseon on the same cruise might have had their worst cruise in their life. It is all about personal perspectives and preferences and off course service as well.
