Carnival Legend operated her maiden cruise and a few additional cruises to the Baltic and Fjords from Harwich, in the summer of 2002. This wasd before she repositioned to the Carib. This was the first time that a Carnival ship had ever visited the UK.

Unfortunately the fares were at the normal UK levels, being more like P&O's - so no bargins for us.

Oh you must remember the christening by Dame Judi Dench, who succeeded in soaking herself in champagne

Galaxy she did a short cruise to Amsterdam and then a 12 night Baltic. I would be surprised if she didn't call at Oslo? See here. I can't see an actual itinerary anywhere though.

It appears not:-
"Carnival Legend will kick off its Europe itineraries with a 12-day northern European voyage round-trip from Harwich on August 24, with calls at Copenhagen, Warnemünde, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, and Amsterdam." from here. Odd, why not Oslo?

Very interesting anf fun if Carnival will put Carnival Splendor over her. But I wonder if she will do visits to Stockholm or Helsinki? Interesting enough, you cant find any information about this on Carnivals own homepage.

Wow, RCI must have faith that 'Navigator' will do well this year from Southampton.

Maybe 'Independance' is doing some promotional cruises before relocating to the Caribbian?

Independence is set for visits to madeira in
May
October
before transatlantic visit in November
so it looks it may be staying for a season and operating similar cruises to the 2007 navigator european schedule
