Yeh there has been , some woman was very unhappy that her meal arrived at 7.31 and not 7.30 as stated on the ships program ,also the carpet in her cabin was a pale blue and she wanted a darker blue like in the broucher (also she may of fell 100 times or so????).

On a more serious note , thanks for sharing the pictures she looks wonderful ! , if i didnt have some sad family commitments i would pop up into Sydney and pay a visit.
Regards Linerdan

Thanks for comments, next ship will be the Statendam in November.

I have had fun taking pictures with the digital and having extras like a wide angle lens and polarising filter.

No cropping or enlarging of the photos has been performed as I feel it damages the quality.

Thanks for the list. Wow that is laid back. It is a shale though she's not going to the other side of the country. Not that Juanita would go if she popped into Fremantle. I'll convert her yet! LOL!

Thats probably to prevent arguments between the residents and guests as to who gets the best view of the Opera House from their apartment/suite, while they are docked at Circular Quay.

Last night, CTV Travel Canada - presented a wonderful tour aboard "The World." What an incredibly opulent and ostentatious ship. For the Penta-Millionaire world traveler.

If you have a spare $5 million dollars lying around you too can invest in a 50 year lease of sailing space aboard. Or if you can afford it - guest suites starting at $1700.00/per night. Guests suites boast fine plumbing and even "windows in your bathroom" so you can bathe, drink champagne and watch the world go by...

The program seemed early in her sailing career so guest rates must have changed since this show was originally produced.

Did the same thing when she was in Sydney two years ago, so that port and starboard passengers each got a chance of the same views of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, etc. Clearly a very egalitarian ship - everyone gets the same treatment and privileges.

When I was on the elevated viewing platform I noticed that there was no teak wood promenade deck and that the deck was all metal and no deck chairs.

It would appear that they intend all passengers/residents to use their own balcony or are there other areas of the ship that have public areas?? This is the same with Seven Seas Mariner.

I actually like using promenade decks on ships and find they are very usefull and popular with passengers when the ship docks or is doing scenic cruising as you get a wider view than you would get from your balcony.

Yes, it is a shame. She's been to Oz several times and hasn't come this way at all. Can't understand their reasoning since most of those on board are permanent. Why not visit parts of Australia they haven't seen before? How about Portland, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Esperance, Albany, Bunbury, Fremantle (Perth), Geraldton, Ningaloo Reef (Exmouth) and up to SE Asia or back to Sydney? Bah...

******

Cheers
