Very nice pictures - the Spa is growing on me (the fact that it occupied what was open deck still does not make me happy) - it somehow looks like the bridge - and strangely it would be less disturbing if I wouln't know that the bridge is the 'thin line' below - will we get to see some of your videos?

This spa stuff is simply awfull... I wonder if it really adds something significant enough to justify this horror. Perhaps some who travelled on one of those modified HAL ships before and after the refit could tell us if it really improves the "cruise experience".

I wonder what purpose the container on the bow is serving? Did anyone else notice that?

I visit pre Rotterdam and sail after rebuilding Zaandam. I cane tell that the whole space is a plus. Specially the workout space with it's huge windows.
The way the refit is done is another discusion. But as Ernst explain it me to grow in this addon. It seems as if it's the bridge. Still beside the spa there is still open deckspace.

I wish I could say that the newest ROTTERDAM (VI) is growing on me, but alas, it is not. We did the first west/east transat on her back in 1998 (http://www.cupcaked.com/reviews/rotterd.html) I guess, with the ROTTERDAM V as a comparison, she could never live up to my dream of as beautiful an ocean liner as that.

The container is on the bow for about a month already and it contains piping maintenance parts.

Here a copyrighted picture of a medivac from the Rotterdam, earlier this week at the Danish coast.
