Have you ever wondered what the average age of most cruisers is? I would have to guess early 40s. Cruising is a very good vacation value but still pricey in some respects. For example have you ever noticed how thick some of the onboard bills that are delivered to the box outside your stateroom are?? 1/4 inch thick. If you not careful!!
It's obvious that the cruise lines want younger cruisers with these Wave Riders,climbing walls etc.-- not for the older SENILE citizens.

If you were to average it out, I would say mid 50s. When we saw the film Poseidon the other day and the disco scene came on, we thought that is not your typical cruise passenger. The average age was around 25 and VERY goodlooking but of course it was only a movie.

I would say the average is in the mid-50s. The Western Caribbean is usually a little younger (obvious during spring break). Many other itineraries are much older (such as Alaska or the Baltic). While older cruisers may not be as interested in climbing walls, they are far from senile and it is an insult to proclaim such.

I assume that you are talking USA. In the UK I'd say the average age was late 50's or even 60's. Our cruising costs more than yours!

Easycruise attempts to attract a young crowd and only managed the mid forties.

My wife and I went on our first Alaskan cruise last June and noticed a marked difference in age. Especially in comparison to Caribbean cruises. Big difference in say Princess vs Carnival.
