Finally i had the opportunity to visit her! She is incredible, huge but very cousy, and isn't crowded as other ships. Well she's a Queen, isn't she? I never thought that she was something like that! We were invited to a show and cocktail at 18:30, the both weren't good, the show was "Fafá de Belém" (i think that nobody here's know who she is, i did not knew one song of her) and the cocktail only was served champagne (nothing to eat at all, i think that they wanted to let us drunk, don't know why...). Well, we had a guided visit so we could not see all th places onboard. My favorite place was the Winter Garden and the 1930's style Queens Room (it's SUPERB!). Know i can understand why you all talk so well about her! My dad is studing a voyage on her, maybe nest year, who knows...

PS: I also meeted the famous Commodore Warwick (is this wrighted right?), he seems to be a good person.
You're lucky indeed. I visited QM2 during her inaugural call in Norway in 2004, and remember the very special feeling I got once I stepped on board. She's a unique vessel!
I hope you get to sail on her some day!
She really does live up to all of the publicity and talk. She truely is an AMAZING ship.

Travel in the QMII is now one of the goals of my life! Even that it is in 20, 30, 40 years I will go travel in this ship!

Yes, its too bad its so little used on a crossing due to the annoying art auction.
quote: Excellent Italianliners.. so glad you had the chance for a visit and enjoyed what you saw, she is so completely different to every other vessel afloat. Keep nagging your Dad perhaps after that next Horn trip he will surprise you with a QM2 sailing )
To Pam:
Unforunately/fortunately the Ushuaia cruise is already confirmed, but you can bet that i will still keep nagging my dad until the day he agrees with the QMII cruise. Well, he liked the ship, it's already a very important step!
The QM2 does offer some shorter (mini) cruises each year. The Transatlantic crossings are very reasonable early/late season, too. European air fares can be cheap these days. Even an Inside cabin on the QM2 is very nice.
Make your dream a reality!
