Cruise ships deal with this virus all the time, just like hotels and other places where many people gather. Once a while such articles pop up just because of the sensational aspect it happens on a cruise ship... -and remarkable is that it most often are British ships mentioned.
My experience is that excessive amounts of ill people are the result of dinner/dance excursions or groups of passengers visiting the same restaurant ashore. This increases the potentially infected areas throughout the ship. Proper hand washing is the best remedy, especially before having a meal.
I wondered if this would have been a news item if ti wouldn't have been a worldcruise. Like previously mentioned, nothing special anymore these days
Very silly!
Forsty 4 maybe you are thinking of an herbal extract called Airborne? which is spouted forth whenever anyone mentions this. It is supposedly able to assist one to build up the immune system and fight germs. No idea what it is supposed to do to prevent a virus taking hold, but that's the power of advertising, the name is on everyone's tongue.
