LE NUOVE UNITA’ SARANNO LE PIU’ GRANDI MAI COSTRUITE PER UN ARMATORE ITALIANO. E’ ufficiale: MSC Crociere, la più grande compagnia crocieristica a capitale unicamente italiano, doterà la sua flotta di due ulteriori navi di ultima generazione: saranno le più grandi mai costruite per una compagnia di crociere italiana. Le due unità sono state commissionate ad Alstom Marine. L’accordo, reso noto oggi a Parigi da Pierfrancesco Vago, Amministratore Delegato MSC Crociere e da Patrick Boissier, Presidente di Alstom Marine, rappresenta il più importante contratto mai firmato dai cantieri francesi.
MSC Fantasia e MSC Serenata, questi i nomi delle due nuove unità, saranno le navi più grandi d’Europa; per un investimento di oltre 1 miliardo di euro MSC Crociere porterà, così, a 11 unità la propria flotta entro il 2010. MSC Fantasia sarà consegnata nel giugno del 2008 e MSC Serenata si unirà alla flotta nel marzo del 2009.
“Con l’ingresso di MSC Fantasia e MSC Serenata - ha dichiarato Pierfrancesco Vago – potremo ospitare entro il 2010 oltre 900.000 clienti su navi di ultima generazione con uno stile unico di eleganza e design, che renderà la flotta di MSC Crociere inconfondibile e ineguagliabile per qualità e livello di servizio su tutti i mari del mondo.”
Con una stazza di 133.500 tonnellate, una lunghezza di 333 metri, una larghezza di 38 metri, una velocità di 23 nodi e con 1.650 cabine di cui 1.260 con balcone, le due nuove unità sono conformi allo standard Post-Panamax e presentano design, dimensioni e velocità altamente competitive e una suddivisione degli spazi interni assolutamente innovativa. MSC Fantasia e MSC Serenata potranno ospitare fino a 3.900 passeggeri totali e 1.313 membri d’equipaggio ciascuna.
MSC Crociere si presenta così sul mercato mondiale con una flotta sempre più adeguata e competitiva: dalle 3 navi del 2002 alle 7 navi attuali, alle 11 entro il 2010.
MSC Crociere conferma il proprio rapporto con il Cantiere Alstom Marine che ha già realizzato ben 4 unità della flotta MSC Crociere, MSC Lirica, MSC Armonia, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Opera, e che consegnerà nel giugno del 2006 MSC Musica e nel 2007 MSC Orchestra.From Il Viaggio
