Do you know if Delphin Seereisen continues with this ship next year?

I heard something about that ship was going to be chartered or bought by Pullmantur Cruises of Spain.

I have the new itineraries already until mid-2007. There have been many rumors but it will continue sailing for Germans.
Pullmatur recently aquired R SIX (BLUEA DREAM).

On my last Cruise with the ATHENA from October 1st to 15th, i had an Couple on my Table for 6, who did their 2nd Cruise.

Their first was with the Delphin Renaissance.

Delphin tells them, the Ship is 5 Stars plus.

I would never book with an Company, which tell such an Nonsense to me as Passenger, and has HORROR-PRICING.

On the Athena we had an 3-Star Ship with an solide Product for an very attractive Price, booked in the Netherlands at www.cruisetravel.nl

For less Money than on Delphin Renaissance you can get an real first Class Cruise with Celebrity.

Delphin is indiscutable.

Delphin never rated DELPHIN RENAISSANCE with 5 stars +. They advertise her with 4 stars + which is absolutely correct.
Rates for their cruises are absolutely fair. Onboard expenses are far lower than on Celebrity. Celebrity, RCI, etc. rips you off onboard with overpriced extras onboard.
Delphin has much nicer itineraries with longer calls in ports.

Oceania Cruises is the best alternative. They offer a far better product than Celebrity and have excellent itineraries. Their vessels are much more upscale towards either Delphin or Celebrity and rates are more than fair.

ATHENA by the way offered a very good product with Vivamare. Next year they will have PRINCESS DANAE after a complete refit. Vivamare has excellent specials and the CIC-ships are well managed.

The Experience with the Athena was good, i would book it again.

We paid € 699 for 14 Nights,
+ € 119 Harbour Taxes
+ € 77 Tips
+ € 10 Invoice/Booking Costs
+ € 1,70 Insurance

per Person for an Superior Inside Cabin and got
an Comfort-Outside Cabin (2 Grades Upgrading).

The Cabin was silent and comfortable, with an real Bath and Bidet, a lot of storing Space and an exactly working Climatisation.

Food and Service are acceptable, not more and not less, the Entertainment for an small Ship was good
and the Athmosphere was very friendly, most of the Waiters and Cabin Stewards coming from Ukraine, the Officers are Portugues, except the Security Officer (Russian) and the Doctor (former Yugoslavia).

The Ship is an very nice decorated Classic Liner, i would book again.

For next Year, i will have an Eye on the Offers for the Princess Danae and Funchal.

This Year, we did only 1 Cruise, but next Year i plan minimum 2.

My first Choice is always Celebrity, but Classic International Cruises is an Alternative, with an complete other Style, but an good Product with no week Points.

We met again an very experienced Couple from Lugano, the Husband is in Music Business and an Journalist with an Experience of more than 60 Cruises in the last 25 Years (my Wife and i have 46).

We decided, to inform us, when there is an very good Offer for the Princess Danae or the Marco Polo, so we can cruise together again.

The Athena leaves the German Market this November, she goes to the British Market and i think, she will be sucessful there, on the German Market we get instead of here the Princess Danae, starting with an Cruise on March 21st, from Lisbon to Africa, 18 Days, which is in the new Brochure of Vivamare with Prices from € 1190 on.

I wait for an special Offer for this Ship, if i get one, i will book again with Classic International Cruises.
