NCL has uploaded PRIDE OF HAWAII's deck plans. Some changes to her public room layout has been made to her compared to the NORWEGIAN JEWEL. The most obvious change is the relocation of the business facilities.

PRIDE OF HAWAII deck plans

Renderings of her public rooms has also been uploaded. I wonder what the "Adult Activity Center" exactly is? The renderings are really nice and possibly a glimpse of another top-quality decor like the NORWEGIAN JEWEL.

Thanks Wayne. They've just shuffled 3 rooms, Galleria to FYZZ, FYZZ to Casino as White Mischief Ultra Lounge, and what was the Galleria becomes the meeting rooms.

But it seems they are going to have to maybe do something about moving Bodywaves it is causing problems with the cabins below.

It sounds a bit rude to me! Maybe it's a games room for adults? It appears to have a bar from the drawing!

By the look of the picture, it's maybe the collective name for the bar area? On jewel it's called Bar City. Perhaps they will have a few 'adult' arcade type things in there, looks like 'rocket car'?

Pam, do you want to elaborate on this?

I am really surprised that the Karaoke Rooms stayed where they are - instead of moved to White Mischief Ultralounge. Speaking of the White Mischief Ultralounge, in the bottom left corners, are those THREE black-jack(?) tables?!

The people in the cabins below Bodywaves hear constant thump thump thump. They have already stopped the 24hr opening. I can't recall the exact times now, but I know it reopens at 6am... thump thump thump.. and so it goes on. They have moved machines about and trying thicker matting I believe, but not sure if anything will help as it's through the framework. On Dawn the Fitness centre is over the Spa etc, so no cabin problem. People have also noted thumps from table tennis players getting a bit over excited above them.

Thanks Pam. One would have thought NCL/Star and maybe even Meyer Werft knew about this in advance during construction. i wonder if this problem also happens on other ships where the fitness center is above cabins?

Jogging tracks on some ships cause problems.

Personally I do not think 'fit' people should be allowed to cruise.

Interesting that they're apparently going to memorialize the Big U by way of the SS United States Library. What does that say? That's not encouraging.

Maybe they decided that it was cheaper than renovating the entire SS United States!

So what's the logic for shuffling public rooms? Any idea?

I was quites surprized to find on my visit to 'Jewel' that the new NCL ships are probably more glitzy/colourful than RCI ones. Mind you, they are still understated compared to Carnival.

NCL probably went back to the NORWEGIAN STAR configuration with the disco in the location where the casino is suppose to be at. Since the P. of HAWAII will be US-flagged, NCL wanted a bigger conference facility, hence placing the conference center in the Galleria Shops. Now that the disco space is vacant, the Galleria Shops can occupy there without having to reconfigure other public spaces or make structural changes. It seems that the P. of HAWAII will have the smallest shop space compared to P. of AMERICA and P. of ALOHA?

I hope NCL's decor stays that way. We don't need another cruise line looking like Carnival .

What in the Hell is an ultalounge? Renderings and themes look pretty good, but terms like "ultralounge" and "adult activity center" are a bit baffling- the latter even seeming a bit suggestive...the rendering is a bit less so, but God knows what grown men would be doing racing cars in digital simulators!

IMO from the pictures YUCK! this does not stike my fancy. The only room that sounds appealing and looks decent to me is the SS United States Library.

Not even 'fit' girls?

Particularly so! I have related this story before, but there was a "fit" and attractive young lady on Rembrandt in her 2000 cruise Baltimore/Canada.

She was perpetually pounding around the prom deck jogging track which was above the interior lounge - I forget which one. With her headphones and weights, regularly as clockwork, the "pound..pound...POUND ..POUND..pound...pound" of her passing rattled the lounge; caused conversation to cease; caused people to exchange exasperated glances; and heads to shake. She would be back in a minute or so, and the scenario would be repeated. She was a major pain in the "gluteus maximus." (sp?)to all.

Fit people. Get fit somewhere else! Leave us sedentary types be!

Lost in translation. In British English fit is used as a synonym for attractive or good looking, that is if I recall correctly- I'm not a native speaker- nor do I mean to be as pragmatic as I probably sound.
