It seems that Berlin will done some cruises for the russian operator Metropolis Tur as the "Orange Melody" instead of the Enchanted Capri

"Orange Melody"? What sort of a name is that? I wonder if it has a more interesting meaning in Russian.

Then what happens with poor [dis]Enchanted Capri?

It has been the only solution in this short time left until the program strats for Metropolis Tur.
As the deal for ENCHANTED CAPRI fell through due to various reasons which I would not like to comment, the BERLIN has been the only available alternative since she can perform the scheduled cruises as she is free of activity until Saga takes her over. She was bare-boat-chartered and will sail with Ukrainian crew until Saga takes her over by end of this year to perform the transformation works on her.

The name ORANGE MELODY is a sign towards the current government in Ukraine. Viktor Yuschenko's party has the Orange color and Ukrainian shipping companies stand behind this new government for many reasons. That's why they want to show a sign with the name ORANGE MELODY. Actually a good sign ;-)

Also the ODESSA was in negotiation for Metropolis but so suddenly it would not have been possible to get her back to cruise.

The CAPRI might come next year, chances are good. She will instead perform regular ferry service for DEMAR in Mexico, actually a quite poor job.

Compliments to Metropolis Tur to show a certain flexibility concerning last minute changes and still keep their feets on the ground and do an excellent job concerning the marketing ! Also, a new ship every year is not so easy too (DALMACIJA, ASSEDO, OLVIA). Well done guys !

The m/s Orange Melody is visiting Geiranger 21/7-05,and the list say that the ship is russian..

Metropolis Tur, the ship's operator is Russian. The managing line is Ukrainian.
