I too think she looks good.
Afterall the Vista class vessels aren't that bad eathere. Well not the most handsom also not the uglyst around. They are atractiv to look at.

I hope that Arcadia would be just that succesfull as HAL vista's.

Greatings Ben.

I saw her in Venice a few months ago during her construction. She already looked quite well. I think that her P&O funnel really ehance the Vista design.
I'm definitely not one of those who dislike Vista class although it's true there are more beautiful ships afloat in the world.

You have a good point Ben.

I'm not a fan of the 'Vista' concept of mass produced ships, but that does not mean that individually they are not good.

These vessels are nice. The "problem" with the Vista class is not so much our but Carnivals problem. Altough the itinery and the way how the ship is operated is different, they might have difficulties to explain the difference between their brands to their customers, if they continue this fleet policy of having very similar ships (finally not only Vista) for different brands.

The white hull turned out better than what I expected. She looks smart with the livery and the Cunard funnel (minus the sheilds) gives her a bit of speed. Just curious, does anyone think her funnel still looks "Cunard" even in the buff yellow?

It is not even remotely Cunard and if we hadn't all known she was intended as QV none of us would even have noticed.

It's P&O now.. but it was obviously Cunard last year, and I think we would have noticed if they had not done a bit of work on it.

The Arcadia looks quite impressive. It will be interesting to see how she compares to the Holland America vistas in her interior layout. The deck plans I have seen show that the interior deminsions are very similar but with some public rooms and bars in different locations. The additional top deck on the Arcadia seems like a good idea and does not really take away too much from the overall shape.

The funnel arrangement does look better on the Arcadia then on the HAL Vistas.

I hope the Arcadia comes eventially to Canada.

I not agree with you on the funnel BTF. The overal look of Arcadia is good buth i think the mast and funnel are a bid out of place on the vessel.

Afcorse its al about tast so therfore to compare a picture to compare.......

Looks like P&O did more than just remove the Cunard style windscoops on her funnel. Her completed funnel looks more like Aurora's (from a distance) and IMO is simple and elegant. The mast is pure QE2/QM2 and works well with the funnel. A nice looking Vista Class ship.

To be honest, I like the livery in black more than the Arcadia in white. The HAL vistas look more classic.
I still like the look of the Arcadia, It does look much diferent which is something I was'nt expecting.
It's true the mast does look very familiar.

I just noticed, Arcadia has 9 lifeboats on each side, the HAL vista has only 8. Does this mean there are less cabins with balconies.

I like the look of the HAL vista bow, looks more sleek in black. Arcadia has an extra section on the top deck infront of the funnel which reminds me of RCCL ships which is like a funnel balcony.
