One question: what is this thing about Brits and baths? I've seen this mentioned in all sorts of places, including the Berlitz guide. Do we really bath (as against shower) more than other peoples? Speaking personally, I can't remember the last time I had a bath.... Let me assure everyone that my arrival at a gathering is not pre-announced by my smell! - I and all my family enjoy a daily shower, at the very least. We do have a bathtub, but to be honest it gets little use as such. I think the days of the 'daily bath' are long gone, and in any case only applied to the well-off (who, I suppose, would be those cruising/voyaging).
Is it really the case that ships catering to the UK market have more bathtubs than those assigned to other markets? I would have thought that in the context of a cruise-ship bathrooom, esp in an ordinary cabin, the space taken by a bath tub, as against a shower, could be better used in other ways.
Yes, Aurora's hardware leaves something to be desired for right now...
Ah, Brits and bathtubs! I travel to the UK quite often professionally and when staying at one of the more "rustic" hotels I often find just a bath tub and nothing more. Indeed, it seems Brits like baths more than Americans - which could be one of many reasons for the transfer of Royal Princess (with a tub for everyone) to the P&O fleet.
And while not British ... I do like to take a bath, too!
