Hi again,

I was wondering if anyone knew any great ships that travel to Hawaii. My Mom and I are trying to find a long duration cruise, around 11-15 nights. I was hoping someone knew of a good cruise that has plenty of activities. I just wrote in about the Island Princess, which is a 15-night cruise starting and ending in L.A., which is ideal since it's kind of a pain to fly to Hawaii. But I have heard that the Island Princess isn't geared to the younger generation. I know that Royal Caribbean's Serenade of the Seas goes to Hawaii, but many people have complained that the crew was rude. Well, if anyone can, please let me know...thanks!!

Samantha

Look into Carnival's CARNIVAL SPIRIT fall and spring sailings to Hawaii. I think its 12 nights.

HAL has been running regular San Diego-Hawaii-San Diego sailings for some time now. Most are 15 days, a few are 16. I am taking the Statendam Christmas/New Year cruise this year.

And no, it is not "geared" to the younger generation. But you write postings of sophistication, leading me to believe you might well enjoy a real cruise on a real ship that is not just fun and games. Think about it.

Me too - have done the Hawaii cruise twice with HAL, but out of LA where they were based at the time. First was on Rotterdam V and second on Statendam. Loved both of them.

Because the cruise is 15 days, you won't find many younger people on them. I don't know how old you are Samantha and of course, no one asks a lady her age, , but as Cambodge says "you write postings of sophistication" so I am sure you will enjoy that Statendam. Great crew, lots to do on the sea days. The cruise staff is very friendly, so I think you would enjoy yourself.

Thanks so far for the info! Yeah...I'm pretty young, 15. But I usually prefer the more elegant, mature look of cruise ships. Even though I would maybe at least want to meet some teens on the boat, I would more than likely love a cruise like that. Again, thanks for all the info!

Wow Samantha! You are 15, yet you write so sophisticated as Cambodge said. I am 16 and I prefer elegant and comforts in a cruise too!

Keitaro,

To you and everyone else, thanks for the compliments! Keitaro what cruises have you been on? I've only been on one, the Ocean Princess, which is now known as P&O's Oceana. I would go on more, but my Mom didn't have the best of time on our Princess cruise, so we have to find a really "fun" cruise to Hawaii. That can be a little tricky since a lot of cruises start or end in Hawaii, and we want to find a cruise roundtrip from the U.S.

Sam
