I've now got my copy of this cute little book. It's ideal for the kids at Christmas, as well as us big kids, too!

I've got mine ordered, along with "Star's at Sea". Hopefully they will arrive any day now. Also ordered the Maxtome-Graham book on QM2 from Amazon that should get shipped in April. I understand it is being updated to include interior pics and those from the inaugural and christening.

Malcolm, don't even think my book with end up in the hands of a child! This one's all for me.

I saw the book at the Maritime Museum in Southampton last December and after one browse trough it made me not want to have the thing. As Malcolm describes it’s fun for the kids but it mainly is a quick publication to make money in the first place then a outing of an illustrator to draw the book out of a passion for ships. The illustrations are in my opinion crappy especially if they are intended to be seriously.

If it was my work I would not be satisfied over it enough to publish it.

I have my Maxtone Graham (advanced copy) book on QM2 already...it's a great book on QM2 with tons of great photos of the ship under construction and the text is wondefully written, of course.

I agree that they are not as good as the original QM ones. They do have a childen's publication like quality about them.

But hey, it's not an expensive book!

i don't know if it's my imagination......but i think they have raised the price from 10pounds to 12.50pounds......too bad with the exchange rate here in canada it would be around 30 dollars canadian......hmmmm......
