Kvaerner Masa-Yards has posted interior photos of CARNIVAL MIRACLE on their website. They are the builders of CARNIVAL MIRACLE.

Go to:
http://intro.masa-yards.fi/

Click on "news", then "photographs". It will take a short time to download as all their newbuilds are listed. When it's finished, scroll down to CARNIVAL MIRACLE. Enjoy!

Where's Batman? Sorry I think the whole ship is a joke. A sleazy red light district.

The MIRACLE is supposed to incorporate some "never before" used concepts and design features by Farcus. I'm not sure how successful they are, and it's hard to tell from the pictures. I'm
also not sure how these so-called concepts and design features differ from other Farcus designed Carnival ships?

Of course I do find them very interesting, but I think the decor is a departure from the previous Spirit Class ships which are still very much Farcus, but toned down a great extent from the rest of the
Carnival fleet.

Having just returned from the CARNIVAL SPIRIT, I found her decor to be actually quite tasteful in most regards. She is probably the most toned down ship in the entire Carnival fleet.

I will have to see more perspectives of MIRACLE to help define an opinion of her. I remember when I first saw the CONQUEST photos online. I was not very pleased, but then I sailed on her and she
actually looked totally different in person. Nothing wrong with formulating opinions based on photographs, but I learned first hand they are not always correct.

Thanks, Ernie, for the link.

Wow! That's a lot to look at! Gotta hand it to Farcus, I may not care for his style but, he does keep it interesting. Actually, there are a few aspects I do like and, of course, it's right in line with what Carnival is all about. The Bacchus Dining Room is not one of them.....

I can't help thinking that he's running out of ideas. After a while, it all starts to look the same. Of course, I guess you could say that about any cruise line....

Thanks again.

Russ

Is it just me or are these interiors getting pretty boring by now. Rather you like it or not the uniqueness is starting to ware off. It’s that the ships and interiors are given theme’s in title because it’s starting to getting pretty hard to recognize the differences by now. Why not simply make just one Farcus interior which will be implemented on all ships, differentiation seems to go down the drains these days why not have the guts to make just one interior for all ships that can be mass produced. (Mac Donald does it!)

Anyway the Farcus interiors don’t do much for me anymore (not even shock) it’s simply a past time gimmick which has lost it’s power by now. It’s time Farcus came up with something new in totality (at least that’s the fun when designing)

Onno, I agree with you. Before even looking you can guess the sort of thing that's going to be there, the statues, type/style of atwork etc. Just different colours. All these latest creations just merge into one in my brain. The supper club image should be added into the other thread.
Yes, photos don't give the same impression, with lack of atmosphere and colours not identical, than if one saw them in person. But I don't think I even want to. This ship is just a joke, ridiculous imo. He needs to change direction.

I hate to say it, but the Miracle looks like a sister to the original Carnivale, Festivale, and Tropicale. It's 80s trashy redo that we've come to expect from very old ships that were redone in those years. The decor is astonshing and Farcus has definately run out of ideas. Some of it is new, though...when's the last time one saw a dining room themed after a blood artery (Bacchus Restaurant)?

I think Bacchus is themes after the God of wine and good times. If you look at the enlarged image of that room, you will see all the "vines" and "grapes" This room is way over the top. Looks trully Vegas to me, themed to the nth degree.

Obviously not those of 'taste' and 'moderation', though?

No, I'm not going to bash Farcus - he works to a brief and I cannot dispute the success of the fun ships!

Is this one of those Farcus theme where they name the rooms with the theme, but the decor doesn't match it?

All I can say is WOW...

I am a fan of Carnival ships, and their spontanious decor, but whoa, this might be going too far...

I dont know how they can name the atrium the "Metropolis," while it has absolulty nothing to do with a city! "Carnival, where Renissance and Las Vegas meet!"

Dont get me wrong, I like the Miracle, its just a shock because its not what I was expecting, its has no place with the Spirit class!

I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed in this ship... Wasn't she supposed to be the debut of some kind of "new look" for Farcus?

Frankly, this looks the same old Farcus we know, and may or may not love, and nothing especially new at all. OK, a bit different from the other SPIRIT-class ships (less toned down) but one look and you think "FARCUS!". She certainly seems to have the same "look" as every other Farcus creation of the past 25 years or so, which makes me wonder, what is so different about this one that caused all the marketing hype?

The interiors are WAY over the top and the concept is just too dated. Move on Carnival! Let the maddness end!

And that Dining Room!?!?!? Whoa! I would be afraid I would burn out a retna or two before I got to the main course

Hey, has anybody else ever wondered what Farcus' house looks like? It would be interresting to see. Don't you think?

Your thinking to deeply, the name of the atrium isn’t that contents heavy!

You know why it is called metropolis! Because underneath the red funnel dome there is a wall poster of an aerial view of Manhattan. Just stick a poster on the wall and there you are, you have a theme for the room!!! Next ship will have a poster of some dinosaurs pinned on the wall and will carry the theme Cretaceous City!

hi to all, to me the room is just too confussed and the colours used are not appropriate, that pink that is represented by the grapes hanging from the ceiling is jus to bright the picture is litterally screamming at you. To me the room is ah waste of money.
thank u,

Yeesh! So much for the nice interiors of the likes of the Triumph, Pride and Spirit. I guess Mr. Farcus couldn't leave well enough alone, so it was time for the Fantasy-class squared. This is the kind of ship that keeps me away from Carnival.

I'd need sunglasses to sit in the dining room for any appreciable amount of time. I totally agree on the goth wear. That room could use a small black hole to swallow some of that over-exuberance. Yikes!

I have to agree, the more I look at CARNIVAL MIRACLE the more over the top she seems. The theme was really an interesting concept, but I'm skeptical how well it was executed. As much as I like the Spirit Class design, MIRACLE does not look like a ship I would enjoy sailing on.

On a positive note, MIRACLE is certainly not a carbon copy of any other ship. I think that is a good thing. Variety is the spice of life, and she will appeal to someone. We have enough ships will dull, bland interiors.

Ernie

ps - my partner always felt Carnival ships looked like "a whore house that exploded". That is his quote. I just got him convinced otherwise on the SPIRIT, which really was quite lovely. I better not let him see MIRACLE!

Generally speaking, if I can not say something positive about something, I say nothing. But this is just too much.

Just like a drug addict who needs to keep increasing the size of the hit to feel the same effect as before, Mr. farcus has given the Carnival Miracle an overdose that killed it.

This is without a doubt in my mind the most ugly tasteless piece of work that is in the world today, either on land or the seas. It is beyond what could be described as a euphoric fantasy and has become a nightmare hallucination that immediately precedes death. What a waste of money and talent!
That's my 2 cents anyway.
