Yesterday, while exploring the Kvaerner Masa shipyard website I came across some facsinating stuff. They have a page where their brochures and publications are available in pdf format.

Looking through them I read more about Panamax Max designs, future ideas, and their proposals for new ship layouts and designs. Really great stuff.

I was especially amazed by the possible addition of new locks to the Panama Canal that would allow ships up to 250,000 tons to transit- that opens huge new possiblities for cruise ship design.

This is a great page and resource for the ship lovers on this board. Go check it out.

Indeed a very interesting link, thanks a lot for sharing.
I hadn't visited it for quite a while so the lattest 6 or 7 issues are new to me (previous ones, not passenger ships related only are very interesting too).
