I am reading this web site less and less because I am becoming totally bored with the very high number of technical postings that are way above my competence

I'm sure that this is turning into a great place for frustrated marine architects and marine technocrats. I have no problem with this, it just does not interest me.

Can some of the posters from a few years ago please come back so that I can give them a hard time again.

Maybe we could revisit the topic of banning all kids from cruise ships or reconfiguring the USS United States as a garbage scow.

Topgun, I know what you mean as well, but we cannot hold Joe (the boss) responsible for your level of competence or mine!

Cruisetalk does seem to change over the years. However, there is nothing to stop you, me or anyone else posting less technical posts, like this one or this one.

I think there is a place for both on this board... which is one of the reasons I like it so much. Liners List tends to be all technical, and Cruise Critic is all fluff, Cruise Talk is somewhere in between.

If you don't like reading anything technical, and want to rant and rave about children onboard, or how much Princess is charging for ice cream, then Cruise Critic may be the place for you. I guarantee you will get your fill of "non-technical" topics.

They would all probably be termed 'Dillybars' in there CT is either Dillybar'ish or too Tech'ish, can it win?

Lets be accurate.
With few exceptions, many female type posters on Cruise Critic are dillybars.
We established that a long time ago.
The only asset that they have is a poster with the name of "Sexyknickers" and she seems to be taken down every time she posts.

Now that is over my level of competence!

I think Cruise talk is a place with the best of both worlds, and most technical topics end up in the Technical section now a days. Maybe some posters are to busy or have other things to do, one never knows I guess.

Just try Topgun, I’m sure you will come up with some interesting topics where all can contribute to.

Does it come as any surprise, that with a name like SexyKincers, she's being taken down fast and often.

I'm surprised she can even stand at all....

Ah yes...now this is the Topgun I know and love. I remember your stance on children and cruising well. Maybe it is time for round 2 of that debate.
