OK - question....

I just watched the movie GHOST SHIP...and am curious as to what cruise ship is shown at the very end of the movie when Epps is rescued and in the ambulance. I am thinking it is one of the Japanese cruise ships but am not sure....

Also - does anyone know where that scene was filmed...it looks like Vancouver...but, again, am not sure...

In the "making of" bonuses they show the Pacific Sky being used - but the ship in the movie doesn't appear to be the Sky...

FYI - I am NOT referring to Andrea Doria as I know the ship itself was based upon that.

Look forward to hearing your input. Thanks!

Jekill,
so glad that you remarked that!
I swa the movie, and few people ask about the cruise ship at the end.
It also appears a sequel might follow, and I am eager to see it!
My opinion is that the vessel is a NCL computer enhanced.
I am almost sure it was the N.Sea or her sister, French built, and lenghten.
N.Dream had a nightmarish collision with a tanker in the channel a few years ago and it would be ironic to use her!
The only catch is that they do not have an observation lounge forward, like on the ssSky Princess.
On the other hand, it wasn't the Sky, as her |Obs. is just under the bridge.
The vessel in the movie had a very low obs, almost like Melody, on the foredeck.
I will have to watch the DVD, if it is released.
Hope someone in the know will come forward, as it is a very pertinent question.
L, in hiding!

Well, the DVD has been out for a week now - anyone else seen the movie and can help identifying the ship in question?

Thanks!

Jekyll, and you call yourself a Vancouverite! It was definitely Vancouver in that last scene. Odd, as the movie was shot in Australia. The scene must have been a "pick-up" at a later date.

I was on the Sky when the helicopter came to film the ship. As far as I know they only needed the waves of the ship, and they were going to remove the Sky with the computer. I haven´t seen the movie yet (it´s not been released in Italy), but I think I´ll buy the DVD next time i´ll be in the USA.

I have seen the show, movie what ever you want me to call it and at the end the ship has a Norwegian Dream,Wind bow but I think it might have been the Norwegian Wind.I went and saw a picture of the Dream which is like the Wind right after it ended so it was Dream or Wind.
