I'm back from the volendam.
I disembarked the ship in Tokyo so i did not see the princess ship.
I had a great crossing with extremely rough seas.
I liked the volendam better then the Zaandam because it is more classy.
I wasn't able to answer your questions anymore because there were some problems with the internetconnection onboard the ship.
I had a great time on the ship and the port of call in russia was fantastic. The volendam was the first big cruiseship that came to the city of petropavlovsk. The local people were very proud of their city and they showed the passengers around for free. There were flowers everywhere and they cleaned the whole square because of the ship in the port.
Vancouver was brilliant. I really liked the way you can see the ship come in in the morning. I could see it from my bed in the pan pacific hotel.
Tokyo is a very nice city, but is was to busy and to hot. we had a great time there though.
Overall this cruise was a great experience with a total of 9 days at sea.
Food was not as good as my past cruises. They didn.t use very much spices because of the high average age onboard the ship.
