Can somebody tell me if Princess Danae has a new name and is now with Page @ Moi?

Actually she just ended a charter to Page & Moy quite recently, she was still owned by Arcalia shipping.

The ship you see on their site is her sister, the former Daphne... Now named... I don't remember, I will have to go look . Anyhow that ship was the Switzerland beforehand.

They had been alike as two peas in a pod before, but then Danae had a problem (fire?) and was sold, after which her interiors were entirely renewed.

Up until maybe a week ago, both ships were on Page & Moy's website... I took the virtual tour of both and one could clearly see that the interiors of Princess Danae looked "fresher" than the two (not that the former Switzerland doens't look lovely).

I haven't a clue what is happenning to Princess Danae now, sicne it seems her sister is replacing her next year.

Darn it, I'm really on a misinformation roll tonight... Ocean Monarch is the one that had the accident and so has renewed interiors.

Something to be cleared up:
The PRINCESS DANAE (owned by Arcalia Shipping) and operating under charter to various operators (such as Nouvelles Frontières, Page & Moy, etc.) is the one which had an incident when she was sailing for Costa as the DANAE. The ship was considered to be a total-loss but was then sold to Flax International who refurbished the ship completely. She started sailing as the STARLIGHT PRINCESS and BALTICA (for Sunshine Cruises, same operator who saved the OCEAN PRINCESS, and for Baltic Line). Later sold to Arcalia (Classic International Cruises), she became the PRINCESS DANAE.
The OCEAN MONARCH (former DAPHNE and SWITZERLAND) has been aquired by Majestic International Cruises after Dreamline Cruises ceased operations due to health problems and due to the bankrupty of the Swiss-based operator.
OCEAN MONARCH will sail under full-charter in 2003 for Hansa Kreuzfahrten in Germany along with the PALOMA. The crazy thing about this is that the ship was already nce considered to become Hansa's HANSA PALOMA if the charter with the PALOMA would not be kept on. After negotiations were successful, PALOMA could be kept with Hansa Kreuzfahrten instead of the SWITZERLAND.
Now since the PALOMA works perfectly, Hans looked for a second ship and the OCEAN MONARCH was available. So finally they anyway got this ship too, only with a different name.
So, I don't see what Page & Moy will have to do with this ship. Maybe a short-term-charter for the end of this year.

Oh, so I was right the first time

. I guess the Swiss must have really renovated the interiors of the former Daphne as she looks very "fresh" inside now (from what I can see on the Page & Moy website).

And indeed Ocean Monarch is only being chartered for most of September and October (first departure is Aug. 31).
