I remember some of you went on the Noordam in the last few years. Its been about 6 years since we were on the Noordam and I thought she went into dry dock for refinishing. Is this true? Also does it have cabins with verandahs? Thanks in advance for any info.
Kevin

Hi Kevin - how are the twins?

No, the Noordam does not have cabins with Verandahs. Haven't been on her in quite a few years so can't tell you what she is like now. There have been some good comments and some bad ones.
Sorry I can't help you.

Sympatico:Thanks for asking and they are just fine (7 months old) Elsa the smallest at birth is already crawling and sitting up. Well I was hoping that my info was wrong about no verandahs but I know you would know. We were thinking of taking her 14 day this winter and thought we would like a verandah for that length of cruise as a get away. It is still early (for us!) to be planning so we may take it anyway.

Thanks. Kevin

K&K, You gave us some excellent advise concerning Calica a few years ago so let me return the favor. We were on the Noordam this past March( see our review in the review pages). It was the best cruise and the most enjoyable ship we have ever been on. No Verandah's however. The ship looks like new, the crew couldn't have been better, the food fantastic. This is the the perfect size ship for my taste and I have never been on a ship with a smoother ride. I'd go on her again in a second!

Gene: Thanks for the response. I did read your review and liked what you had to say and we are considering the Noordam. I just wanted to have a verandah for something special. We will both turn 50 next year and also it will be our 30th wedding aniversary! Any suggestions for something special are welcomed.
Kevin
Yes we married young but knew it was right (we also dated all through high school) Our children are 26 & 22 years old!!!

I am booked on the Noordam's cruise from 29th July for 10 days so I will be able to report back on the ambience if you can wait that long. Cruise review will be posted. However like the others I'm positive there are no verandahs on the ship.
