By mid-morning, they had basic hotel services up and running (toilets, lights, hot & cold running water). As soon as they got two of the diesel generators restarted, they could restore air conditioning. Power for the galley was restored this afternoon, so hot meals will again be available.
Power has now almost been fully restored, and the ship is proceeding to St. Lucia (rather than Aruba).
Today was supposed to be a sea day, and activities were switched to outdoors as much as possible to take advantage of the breeze. Nonalcoholic beverages were free today because it was hot. Passengers will be invited to a free cocktail party tonight.
When power was first lost this morning, a tug was called as a precaution (it was supposed to reach the ship later today), but it is no longer necessary, but will be on standby as the ship goes to St. Lucia.
These incidents do happen from time to time, and it's much the same as the circuit breakers in your house occasionally tripping for no apparent reason. The difference is that on a ship it's a little more complicated than just flipping a switch.
