Years ago, I was in the States watching live TV coverage of the marriage of Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer.
There was one point where the newly-wed couple were out of shot, concealed by an archway.
The television immediately went into an advert break, proclaiming loudly: "Jock itch is a fungus."
And now, back to the wedding.......!

sread - that is funny -
Malcolm - not happening on my computer, but I sure am getting fed up with the ads from TELUS - a division of Bell telephone who also is the provider of my internet service. I would like to tell them to "stuff it", but don't know who to call. Anyone out there know.

Topgun or any other Canadians out there on Sympatico - are you having this same problem with TELUS?

Sympatico, Telecommunications is one thing, Polyps are another! If you know what I mean?

Maybe the advertisers think us Brits need this kind of medical advice?

Malcolm - yes I know what you mean!
Can't post here why I think the advertisers feel all you Brits need this information!

Daughter visiting your fair city in a couple of weeks - weather looks very nice - better than when she goes in December.

Hi Sympatico. Just to say that Telus is not part of Bell. It's an merger of BC-Tel and Alberta Tel. and is Bell's biggest competitor.
If you have a problem E-mail first the manager of Customer service and you'll get an answer. If you don't like it snail mail the President.

If on the other hand it's the pop-up ads which are annoying you the simplw answer s go to google and put in "popup killers" you'll get several to try as some seem to be better than others. Right now popnot seems to work 100% on this site which is one of the worst.

Peter - thanks. Had no idea about this. Do you know what the e-mail address of the Customer Service Dept. is and do you mean to write to BC Tel/Alberta Tel?

Oh, am I stupid - I just got Namlit's joke! Very good. If you just read "colon polyps, it isn't funny, but when you say it out loud I am still laughing. Getting slow in my old age!
