We were on the Norway in July of 2001 and liked it very much. It was, of course, an old ship, but very well maintained--and really quite elegant. It was a good feeling to know that Audrey Hepburn and Alfred Hitchcock had cruised on the same ship.

We were advised to get a suite and as high up in the ship as possible because the lower state rooms smell musty. I don't know if that's true or not. We were quite pleased with our penthouse suite. I didn't hear anyone complaining. Also, I understand that the standard rooms vary a lot in size on the Norway, so maybe your agent can find you a larger one for a smaller price.

We actually had more fun on the Norway than the previous cruise on the newer Norwegian Sky, but it was because we loved our tablemates, and our shore excursions in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Costa Maya were awesome.

The pool on the Norway was pretty small and not enough chairs unless you got up very early. That was something I missed because on Caribbean cruises, the pool area is where all the action is.

Good luck, and have fun!
