Our family just returned from the Christmas cruise of the Costa Atlantica. What a disappointment. We loved the Victoria which we did 3 years ago. This ship is very ornate and our cabin was olvely but is Costa cutting corners? The food was terrible even the pizza. The wonderful slide was open a grand total of 3 hours the whole trip. The smokers didn't oby the nonsmoking areas and no one from the ship enforces the rules. They didn't know how to run the shuttle at Grand Cayman without huge waits..The best part of the ship was the teens program which our boys enjoyed. What a disappointment. Sylvia, this is no wonder for me.
Read my Review of COSTA ROMANTICA TRANSATLANTIC APRIL/MAY 2001.

I wrote exact the same Points: The Food is not good and the Service is untrained.

Head Waiters did nothing, than some Jokes and ask for Tips.

The had to supervise the Service Crew.

The food is cheap Italian Style Banquet Catering.

It lacks much Quality.

My Cruise in 1995 on the COSTA ALLEGRA was o.k., but this was before Carnival bought the Company.

COSTA IS NOT OF INTEREST!!!

For some Dollars more, you can get fine Ships from very good Companys like the
Ships of CELEBRITY!!

(or HAL, i think, or Cunard, or Princess,
or Royal Caribbean, or Transocean, or Deilmann).

Costa is as bad as MSC, but MSC is much cheaper...

It was a surprise to us since we had a delightful cruise on the Victoria. I agree with you I'd rather go on HAL, Princess or Celebrity. I think this was our last Costa Cruise.
