Hi again, just found these and thought they might be of interest as their arn't many Pictures of Pacific Sky especially current interior shots.
These are from that Innaugeral weekend cruise last November (10/11/2000) and show the bright new P&O Livery.

SydneyBoy,
Nice shots, thanks for posting these.I think
she looks great in her new livery. For those who don't recognise her she is the former SKY PRINCESS. Originally completed in 1984 for Sitmar as FAIRSKY.I have the new brochure
which is beautifully produced. Lead in rate
for a 10 day cruise in Feb.02 is AUS$2190.
Discounts for early bookings range from AUS$100 to AUS$500 depending upon the accom.
booked.

Thanks philcheese2001, I was just curious to know how you got the Pacific Sky brochure, as i think u are in the UK, does P&O Market her and Sydney Cruises over there? Also can anyone in the US tell me if they have seen Marketing for Pacific Sky there?
I would definately recommend her to Americans or Europeans who are looking for something different (having already cruised on her and going again in just over a month yay). The South Pacific ports are really beautiful and completely different to the Carribean, for those of you who sailed on her as the Sky Princess, dont expect to step aboard the same ship, while essentially unchanged in layout, interiors and Atmosphere are completely different!! If you are young and like lots of nightlife and partying then this is the ship for you (the indoor/outdoor disco goes on till the sun comes up usually with well over 100 people dancing till breakfast). The staff are very young and active and their is LOTS of passenger involvement with pool games, quiz shows, Karaoke and so on. This ship offers a unique cruise product that i have not experienced on any other line (not even princess or other P&O). Perhaps it is the Australian hospitality and laid back culture that allows for this fantastic experience. While Carnival call say they are the "Funship" brand, Fairstar used this slogan way back (Fairstar the funship) and that same atmosphere and experience has found its way through Fair Princess and onboard Pacific Sky although in somewhat improved Facilities!!! This really is the Funship, so come try it and check out Sydney while you are here!!! Those from overseas that are interested in coming for a cruise down under dont hesitate to email me with any questions of Sydney or the Ship, Im a Local boy and can give you the inside knowldge lol, maybe even show you around!!
Happy cruiseing all !!

Hi SydneyBoy
Got the brochure courtesy of P.& O. South
Pacific website, sorry don't have the address to hand but if you go to a search engine e.g. Yahoo and key in "Pacific Sky"
you should find it.Their brochure response far better than Cunard ,after 2 attempts have given up on them.Incidentally did you
manage to get aboard "Oriana" & "Aurora"
whilst at Sydney. Both beautiful ships and wonderful to cruise on? Good cruising!

Phil thanx for letting me know, that website by the way is www.pacificsky.com and provides info about this fantastic ship (i believe the website is soon to be upgraded using similar technology to its sister Princess site).
I to have found the brochure response quick, i didnt realise they sent them overseas however! The new brochure is fantastic!
Also i did get a chance to experience Aurora, I cruised Overnight Sydney-Brisbane and WOW fantastic, however im still a big Fan of Oriana, there is something about her, she has real character for such a modern ship, perhaps this will grace Aurora in years to come.
Also Andizz, i did experience Norwegian Star b4 she left in Oct 99, i liked her, but i think Pacifc Sky is more to Australian taste and yes the Disco was great and i was there everynight!
Any Americans out there can tell me if P&O Market Pacific Sky and the South Pacific there?
