Hey, going on Golden Princess for its 2nite sailing cruise to nowhere, and we just got our tickets today! But, our agent said we have a "N" room and that chances are good we will get bumbed up. Well our tickets say we have a "N" caagory room, but they sent us room tags that said "G" what is a outside obstructed cabin... does anyone know what this could mean???

Looks like you were ugraded. An obstructed view means nothing when you are only on the ship for 2 days. Bet you are hardly in your cabin and even if you were all you would see was water.
We have taken an "obstructed view" cabin twice on HAL and were pleased with the cabins each time.
Have FUN!

Ok... but they did not provide us with a room # or anything. Just the tags, the tickets just have a blank in the stateroom blank...?
Any more ideas?

I suppose they have allocated you a "grade" , but not a particular cabin "Number" yet? That will be done when you board. "Obstructed View" means you get a port hole or window but the view will be patially obstructed, probably by a Life Boat outside?

Don't worry - you will have a great time! All of the the cabins on the big new ships tend to be very nice, even the cheapest inside ones! As Sympatico has said already, "Obstructed View" is not the end of the world, especially on a short cruise.

Ask your TA to explain, that's what you pay them for. (They take commission on your booking, so you have payed for their services!)

I'd be very curious to know how much you paid pp. I heard some folk got on free! Were you one of them? I was upset until I ran into a gent was seeing red. Can you believe it????! he got on FREE (and with a balcony) but complained because he "assumed" Free also meant the drinks too!

I just included a comment under "Ships" category. What was your impression?
