Does anyone know which shipyard is doing the repair work on Infinity?

Grant - she was here yesterday - so my guess would be Vancouver or somewhere close at hand....will be interesting to find out...

Perhaps Cascade General shipyard in Portland, Oregon? They have the skills (NIEUW AMSTERDAM/PATRIOT conversion and several cruise ship dockings) and the shipyard can easily accomodate INFINITY.
Besides it's near her working area.

Several of us with an interest in ships, are hoping that she comes to the graving dock in Victoria. The dock is the largest on the west coast of North America, and during the war had Queen Elizabeth out of the water for several weeks. The local ship yard has done major refits on many cruise ships. Last year we had Rhapsody of the Seas in for underwater repairs and painting. There are some photos of Victoria and Vancouver ship repair operation at: URL=www.vicship.com

Grant...did you see in today's paper that she is going to the graving dock in Esquimalt. They're having to put the Provider together in a hurry to get her afloat and out of there to make room. She's too big for just about anywhere else, besides being too heavy on the blocks for the floating docks.

Just heard this story:

Infinity heads to Victoria for repairs

Infinity sails tonight from Vancouver to Victoria Shipyard where it’s due to arrive at dawn Thursday to begin repairs on a faulty ball bearing unit in its starboard Mermaid pod. The work is expected to take five days and if all goes as planned, the ship should be back in service on June 22. George Kowalski, director of international marketing for the Vancouver and Victoria shipyards, tells Seatrade Insider it was quite a feat to make way for Infinity. The Victoria’s graving dock is the only facility in the region large enough to handle Infinity (the dock is 358.64mtr long and 38.4mtr wide and can take vessels up to 100,000dwt). But the space was already occupied by a Navy ship and a fishing boat. They had to be moved, and it took three days for customised keel blocks to be built for Infinity. Kowalski says the vessel did not experience an actual problem with the bearing unit but crew suspected it was ‘deteriorating. The ship did not break down. She was going 22 knots.’ Celebrity officials ‘decided not to wait until calamity strikes but to do something immediately,’ Kowalski adds. Delivered by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in February, Infinity is still under warranty so the yard will pick up the repair tab. Last January, sister ship Millennium underwent a two-week drydock to repair an underperforming electric motor that operates one of its two pods.
