Anyone have any thoughts on who will (or should)buy and operate the Pacific Princess when she leaves service with Princess Cruises?

Maybe Aaron Spelling should buy her and use her as a museum in California to all the TV shows he has created - after all - were it not for the Love Boat and Fantasy Island...many of us would not be in this business...maybe Mme. Tausaud's could create wax figures of all the Love Boat crew and his other characters - far fetched - but an interesting idea....

That's ironic, Princess have got divorced from the Love Boat!

Nothing lasts forever!

I don't think that Princess kept up the ship very good. I was on board Pacific Princess during a black sea cruise in oct 1999. Our party had two cabins (A114 & 115)and we had worn matrasses and a lot more things to complain. I found a lot of public spaces with an urgent need of redecoration. My last cruise on board a ship of the same age (Black Watch) proved to me that it is possible to keep the ship up to the standard, but I must admit that food and service on board Pacific Princess was the best I'd ever had

I was on the Pacific August 2000. She looked great for her age. Our cabin was P112 was quite comfortable.. though dated in style. Our mattresses were quite comfortable and everything was ship-shape and worked.

I've seen cabins 6 years sold in worse shape(Celebrity's Galaxy) than those on the Pacific
