I associate Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, and other big band music from the Captain's receptions. It fit well with the elegant Queens lounge of the Rembrandt.
I associate Reggae and Calypso music from the aft deck pool/buffet/lido bar too. The Norway had an excellent reggae band.
Strangest association is the bells and whistles from the casino slot machines.

Hi - I'm not sure that I understand the question - are certain areas of the world targeted? Are we talking long or short cruises?
The Love Boat theme always seemed to apply to Caribbean itineraries and maybe a few Alaska 'trips'' as I recall. It was never one of my favourite programmes.
By the way, the original "Love Boat" episodes tended to be Mexican Riviera cruises out of LA, not Caribbean. For a better look at the same cruise on the same ship, try to get ahold of the old "Columbo" episode where he takes a cruise. It was obviously filmed at sea, with the ship creaking all of the time and people lurching from side to side as they walked down the corridors.
as well as that, i have an introduction and an ending, and all i need is music. I need more classical, peaceful music, remember i am trying to encourage people, not shoo them away with rock music. The target audience is for 30+. I have one for under 30's, but i already have music for that.

This song reminds me nostalgically of the immediate post world War 2 period at a time when the Queens were regularly transiting between Souhampton and New York with some small competition from TWA's superconnies.

Hey I also have a recording of the Titanic's actual whistle blowing. The whistle was raised with many other articles from the Titanic, and those whistles were in pretty good shape, so they decided to fix them up again, and for one time only, they pumped high-pressure air through the wistles and for the first time since 1912, a few lucky people in St. Paul, Minnesota, heard the actual voice of the Titanic! What an event it was! I was there and recorded the whistle.
I also have the voice of the Queen Mary recorded. I use these two sounds on my computer, so I hear them throughout the day.
