Alan, I will appreciate your feedback on the Melody.

We sailed on her when she was new with Home Lines. I think you will like the vessel.

I would like to go back to her.

Unfortunatly, I have heard reports that she usually has a large number of German and French Nationals on board who's behavioural characteristics may be objectionable to our standards. I hope this is not so. Please let us know.

Topgun, it is so.
The Melody is in Germany under Contract of
FTI in Munich, which belongs to an british
company (former Frosch Touristik).
This is cheap segment and one of the worst offers, you can book.
I was on board the Melody 27. December 1997
to 13. January 1998 for an trans-atlantic
cruise.
This ship and the Company MSC former Starlauro is NO GOOD SELECTION!!

Especially food and service are lacking
quality.

Alan, what are your ports of call? What attracted you to the Melody, I know little about her?

6. Cristobal, passage Panama Canal to Gatun Lake
7. Puerto Limon 05.30 - 17.00
08. + 09. on sea
10. Key West 08.00 - 17.00
11. Ft. Lauderdale 08.00

Zerbone Catering, Food precooked on Land,
overcooked with no Spices on the Table,
narrow Tables, loud Dining Room, lacks Service.

I had are very good time last time on MSC Monterey (except from the engine vibrations).
The food and service in the restaurant was very good. Service in bars was quite poor (Ital catering). Is there a difference between the catering of the MSC ships?

Several of us were quite interested in hearing of your cruise aboard the Melody this past March. We were offered a good deal on the cruise, but after reading conflicting reports decided not to go.
I sincerely hope you had a good cruise and have not posted a review due to exhaustion from partying with many new friends met on board!

It is Zerbone Catering from Italy, NOT GOOD!
But i feel the same as you, in 1996 the Monterey from Genova to Rio we had Croatic
Waiters on the table, they work much better and harder than the italians on the Table in 1997 on board the Melody.

And i found the food better on board the Monterey.

But it is Zerbone Catering in both ships.
