Hello,

After sold 40,000grt Star Aquarius, 4,200grt MegaStar Capricorn and Sagittarius. I think everybody knew that Star Cruises maybe tranfer SuperStar Libra to NCL instead SuperStar Leo.

Is Star Cruises Crazy?
They tranfer all newbuildings to NCL and they continous sold older tonnage. That means in next year, only seven ships will operating under Star Cruises brand. But over ten ships will operating under NCL brand.

Another Questions! Can a 91,000grt, 2,300 passengers - SuperStar Libra can make a great income which only operating in Hawaii route? I think Star Cruises must keep Libra and Leo in their brand and put a smaller cruise ship in Hawaii market. Such as Norwegian Sky.

I wouldn't worry about it to much Eric, the way they are operating over this side of the world they won't last very long. They are selling cruises on auction sites for incredibly low prices and from what we've experienced the Free Style concept is having mixed reactions with the American cruiser. In my opinion they won't be around the Caribbean for long. This is only my opinion for what it's worth.

Eric,

It comes down to $$$$! NCL brought in over $825 million in revenues and @ $100 million in net income. Star brought in a tad over $500 million for the year.

NCL's results were much better and Star obviously recognizes the greater profit earning potential of these ships in North America -vs- in Asia.

It's all about money in this game, so for now, the money is being spent on NCL.

Tim

There's no problem...... if you want to be sure of actually sailing on a Star Cruises ship book on one that's leaving within a week or two..otherwise it might all change!!

it will be nice to see any star vessels over here other than having all the star ships sailing around southeast asia on 5 and 7 day cruises.......i don't see the difference between hawaii for a week or indonesia/malaysia for a week. star cruises needs to expand there cruising range and explore the globe more....jeff
