Just heard on the news that a crew member got killed on The Sensation. Some how he was in the elevator shaft and was doing maitence on it and was crushed to death.

Ok here are the final details.
A Crew Member was Crushed On Board The Carnival Sensation.
The Man Was Working In a Elevator Shaft
on Friday in what appeared to be a freak accident on board the Carnival cruise ship Sensation, according to WDSU NewsChannel 6 reporter Ed Reams.
The accident happened about 5:30 p.m. while the ship was loaded with passengers and preparing to depart for Tampa, Fla., from the Julia Street terminal.
A crew member was working on top of the elevator inside the shaft near the bow of the ship when the hydraulics pushed the car up to the roof, crushing the man's head, a Carnival spokesman said.
Firefighters worked for almost 4 hours before they were able to remove the victim.
"We're having trouble getting the elevator to release," New Orleans Fire Department spokesman Glen Trainor said. "We even had Otis Elevator come out to assist and we couldn't do a thing."
Carnival officials released few details about the crew member, saying only that he was a man in his 30s or 40s and had been employed on the ship for a few months.
