Paulo,Caribbean Cruises including flights can often be cheaper than European ones. I live in London - but could fly to Miami and cruise for less than I could take a cruise from Southampton!
Compromise: The SS Norway's repositioning cruise (Transatlantic Sept 2001) will not be cheap, and will take 16 days. For that reason it is probably not realistic.
However, the historic significance could be enough to persuade serious European CruiseTalkers to fly to Miami, and the North American CruiseTalkers to cruise to Southampton, and fly back home?
For the more wealthy North Americans who do not fly - they could always take the QE2 back across the pond a few days later!

Just had a look at your cruise choices.Unfortunately,I am already booked on the MAASDAM in December,2000 and April,2001.So unless I win the lottery, there's no way I can make any of those dates.
Maybe next time???????

We have a block of cabins reserved ranging from inside to suites. Prices right now range from $1749 to $2249 without air. Depending on size of the group prices could go down. Any takers?
Feel free to contact me if you are interested.
I was waiting to see if NCL (UK) package would be cheaper than arranging my own air.
NCL UK still don't have a price!
Plan to sail on the Amsterdam with Sympatico and NAL in September to NE/CANADA instead.
Try again for 2002 as we would like to meet some of the other posters.
*You get a historic transatlantic voyage on the last great Ocean Liner.
*You get to visit some interesting ports of call including the East Coast of the States, France and the UK - most transatlantic trips don't have as many (if any) ports of call.
*You get to visit Ireland, Scotland and could stopover in London, which is only a couple of hours away by train from Southampton.
A suite or Penthouse on the Norway is very affordable, compared to other cruise lines. The price differential between the various grades of cabin is only a few hundred dollars, not thousands!
