This is the 28,000 ship that was built in 1973, and has had the following names:

Hyundai Kumgang
SuperStar Capricorn,
Golden Princess,
Birka Queen,
Sunward,
Birka Queen,
Royal Viking Sky

The other ship that was named Sunward was 14,000 tons and was built in 1971. She most recently was Triton of Royal Olympic. Here former names in reverse order):

Is there another Sunward you are inquiring about?

Yes it was built in 1966. It was Norweigan Carbbiean Cruise's first ship. It is now the Empress. I was looking for more information on it. Some basic information on it is posted under the topic white ships.

Yes, there was another SUNWARD, the very first vessel of Norwegian Caribbean Line.
This ship was build in 1966 for Klosters Rederi (former parent company of NCL). It has 8666 grt, a length of 139,43 m and is 20,83 m wide.
In 1973 it became the ILE DE BEAUTE of C.G.T., in 1977 GRAND FLOTEL (Eastern Gulf), a hotel-ship.
In 1978 it was renamed SAUDI MOON I (Saudi Maritime Transport Co.). In 1988 it became the OCEAN SPIRIT for Ocean Spirit Co.
In 1990, Scandinavian Seaways bought the ship and chartered it to SeaEscape Cruises as the SCANDINAVIAN SONG.
In 1994 it cruised as the SANTIAGO DE CUBA, managed through International Shipping Partners.
In 1994 it came up at THE EMPRESS, chartered by Empress Cruise Lines, and today operates under the same name for Sembawang Johnson Lines.
It is more a freyy-ship than a cruiseship but still good for short cruises.
