Do we take a cruise around Scandinavia-Baltic sea or Europe? Which would have the best ports and which cruiseline.
Some cruise lines start london to copenhagen or return from copenhagen or close by.
Daughter may have already been on her eurotour but that is land based.
Also should we get a round the world air fare or a direct to copenhagen. We are from australia
With so many people with experience I hope you can help with your suggestions
It all depends what you like, really! The Mediterranean with its Italian and Spanish ports of call is a popular choice with Brits, looking for summer sunshine and attractive cities. The Baltic region is steeped in history and politics, prehaps offers more of a 'cultural' experience? (I'm crusing the Baltic myself soon). And lets not forget Norway and the beauty of its Fjords!
You should get all the major cruise lines brouchures, which operate in Europe: Hal, Celebrity, RCL and NCL etc, and compare the prices and the ports of call on offer.
Maybe you will have the time and the money to do two cruises in five weeks ?
Have checked out celebrity, the millenium is way out of our budget but the itinery looks fantastic sort of a bit of everything.
OH well
Galaxy looks more affordable and are looking at orient lines too. looking forward to all opinions thanks
Then there's the Controversial Airtours, Thomson and First choice, whose Cruises can be half the price of the big American lines!
You may wish to consider a land tour? (If I dare mention that on cruisetalk)Check out 'Cosmos Tours', they are resonably priced and excellent.
There are also many low priced Airfares between European cities, theses days - the distances are quite short compared to the vastness of the USA!
I don't know anything about Fred Olsen tours do you have any links??
BTW I am from the land down under so everything is vast.
