After speaking directly with Airtours today I am informed that all cruises onboard the Carousel are cancelled up until March 18. I travel on the 25 So I'm not sure wether this will be cancelled or not. If anyone has any info I would be very grateful.

Susanne I was in touch with Airtours yesterday and they assured me that the Carousel would be back in service on 3rd March or the 14th at the very worst. We aren't cruising until April 29th so they reckoned we'd be OK, We asked for this assurance to be put in writing, maybe you should contact them and ask them to do this for you. Be prepared to be passed from one operator to another before you get to speak to anyone with any authority. Good luck!

My husband and I are on the April 8th cruise.I talked to Suntrips and was told the ship would be ready starting with the March 18th sailing. We were on the Jan. 29,2000 trip and had a great time. We decided we needed another week. Good Luck

Thought so... Maybe the Mexican Government is holding the ship for ransom? I couldn't imagine the oil clean up bill. Does anyone know if it got to dry dock.

Susanne sorry to hear that your cruise has been cancelled. It really isn't on when you take the time to contact Airtours only to be told the wrong information. Have they offered you another cruise or have you got a full refund?
Aldo did you see Watchdog the other night about Carousel? If they don't get it right this time they never will.

Susanne, Sorry to hear that your cruise has been cancelled, but I would say it is a blessing in disguise. Trust me - the Carousel is a floating disaster area. I've now had a full refund from the awful Millennium cruise and I have told EVERYBODY I know never to go anywhere with Airtours (or on the Carousel). It was truly one of the worst weeks of my life and that is no exaggeration. I only hope they decide to scrap the ship and get rid of the unhelpful and unpleasant crew. 800 of us could not have been wrong (did you see Watchdog?)!
