We are cruising on the Norwegian Wind in a few weeks. NCL is flying us into Ft. Lauderdale and then bussing us into Miami where the ship is docked. Has this happened to anyone else?

This has not happened to me, but I would not be concerned if I were you. Ft. Lauderdale airport is only about 25 miles from Miami and it is a much nicer airport to fly in and out of. We quit flying into Miami a couple of years ago when we realized that the fares are usually less expensive at Ft. Lauderdale and the airport less congested. Now we just drive the extra 30 minutes or so.

Hi Palolake - I agree with Corrine. We usually have to do it the other way around. Fly into Miami and bus to Ft. Lauderdale. Ft. L's airport is much nicer and less congested.

Hello...
Getting bussed to Miami is no problem at all! On my last two cruises, it was the other way around, but the ride, I found was rather enjoyable. The 25-30 minute ride gave a nice tour of the area (bus driver was friendly) and just being on the bus and being around so many people who were just as excited as you really brought forth alot of anticipation! All your luggage is waiting for you at the dock area so no need to worry about that. Just enjoy the ride, chat with new people you meet from all around the world, and just have fun!

The first time I was told I would be arriving in Ft. Lauderdale and being bussed to Miami, I was also concerned. Ft. Lauderdale airport is so much nicer than Miami, and the drive was so quick I barely noticed! Have a great cruise!!!!!
