How much cash should I bring. How dressy should my 3 kids dress? It"s only 20 more days till I sail Voyager of The Seas. I am very nervous. Please help me.

I'll be on Voyager November 28th also....hurray! As for dress...On RCI you can wear a dark suit on formal nights...nobody will look you funny...I never felt out of place wearing a suit on formal night. However, I am considering renting a tux for Voyager...since it's the second voyage and all. I was on Visions second voyage in the Med. last year though...I wore a suit...and it was no biggie...more tuxedos on European cruises seems like. Anyways as for kids on formal night..."Sunday best" attire is fine(I hope your familiar with that term).

For walking around the ship daytime hours tropical type outfits are pretty much the norm. No jeans (not a rule, you just won't see any though). White, beige, or off-white light material pants and a white button cotton shirt. In the evening I wear the dress sugestion for the night.

RCI is a laid back cruise experience if you want it to be..or if you want some excitement be active and sign up to numerous activities. At least bring enough cash to handle your gratuities and emergency expenses.

Yes if you are male, all you really need is one dark suit and a couple of ties. Women of course seem to require a little more...evening dresses, pants-suits etc. If you are traveling with a female partner you will certainly need one of those bags for both ofyour 'suits'.

All of your purchases onboard including excursions will be 'cash free'. You settle your account with credit card on departure. You will need cash for any shopping in the ports of call.

If you are on a budget remember to take everything you need like camera film, toothpaste as nothing is particularly cheap on a ship.(Remember to keep a check on your expenditure on-board as it does mount up)

Most importantly just relax and enjoy!
