Just found out Voyager of The Seas is having topless sunbathing onthe #peek a boo" deck. Is normally the way it is when cruising?

I have been on 2 cruises with Carnival (the Fascination and the Destiny), and I can tell you that on each of these ships there is a topless deck. I believe (if memory serves me correctly) that the deck is located around the smokestack area. In fact, on the first Carnival cruise we were on I took a picture of the sign. It said "topless deck--adults only--no cameras". If Carnival ships have the topless deck then I bet it is true that Voyager of the Seas will have it as well.

I thought that Voyager's 'Peek-a-boo' area allowed passengers to overlook the bridge rather than breasts? Maybe the ship should be renamed 'Voyeur of the Seas'?

I do know that Brighton, on the UK coast, has a nude beach. (I meam NUDE rather than TOPLESS) However, I'm not aware that nudity in any form extends to that other great British institution, Cunard's QE2!

My daugher and son-in-law just got off of the Carnival Holiday, and have been on the Fascination, and Elation. All have the topless sundeck. but nobody finds it obtrusive. They both said it was a good place to get away for a while. Because people hardly use it.

Of all my cruises, I have yet to see one FEMALE sunbathing topless. They had a tops optional deck. But the only ones topless were the guys. I was on the Elation in June and they didn't have any there either. The only place we ran into that sort of thing was on South Beach Miami, before the cruise.

i think its great that a cruise lines will give you the option of tanning the way you would like. though i have been on a number of european cruise lines such as the ships "la palma" and "old europa" and thay had full nude tanning areas again on the upper-most deck of the ship like you said around the stack and found myself tanning in these areas because of the location and to get rid of the tan lines...a little more open-minded in europe i guess...jeff

Anyone know of any clothing optional beaches on the Western Caribbean itinerary? Ocho Rios, Cozumal, Grand Cayman. I know the Triumph has a topless deck...was on the Paradise last year and there was one couple that had totally removed their suits on the topless deck...didn't seem to bother anyone as nobody came around and told them to put them back on.

hey cruiseman....when we were aboard the "seabreeze" a number of years ago i also scouted for the "elnudo beach" as the mexicans say. when we were in ocho rios there is only the super club couples resort that has an off islet with hamocks and bar...nice and in cozumel there is the "el mirador beach" which runs northward from the lighthouse at punta celarain and nudity is accepted...if not go to cancun by taxi or bus and hit club med. asking the info desk...the people will be more than helpful to fill any questions you may have...most of the "seabreeze" crew hit the nude beaches i noticed....have a great time and take plenty of sun block...jeff...oh yea... no-way at grand cayman unless you are totally alone.

I had the same Fascination with the topless deck as most men would. In my wildest Imagination, I couldn't think of a better place to have a Topless deck, to enjoy the Inspiration of the sites. The Sensation of being on Holiday and enjoying the ocean, the sun, the ship and the Fantasy of topless women all around, that would be Paradise! Can you imagine the Elation and the Ecstasy I had when I finally went on a Tropicale cruise aboard a Carnival ship, I felt the Victory and the Triumph as I approached that top deck during our first day at sea. I certainly experienced the Jubilee that I had anticipated and knew immediately that this was my Destiny as I enjoyed the Celebration with my fellow passengers up on the topless deck. The End.

Nicely put Barryboat! Still wish it was clothing optional and not just tops optional as I don't wear a top anyway!

Bonsoir Barriboat,
Your jeu de mots was very cleaver inclusive of the Carnival fleet. All I can say is, au pays des aveugles les borgnes sont rois Bravo!

I have been on Holidays and have recently returned. Nice to see some familiar faces remaining here.

Well, I hope your all happy. There were half naked people sunbathing on the Voyager of the Seas! Only problem, the area wasn't marked well enough and many people with children wandered into the area, and later complained about the nudity. The statues around the pool seemed to upset some families as well.

You're right it wasn't well marked. Many people went up there to get a great picture of the pool area from a high vantage point. I didn't even realize it was clothing optional until the plane ride home. I didn't go up there but had I known......just kidding folks.

did you say that the "voyager of the seas" had a clothing optional deck or just a topless deck near the statue pool ?....if optional i'm booking aboard the voyager.
and for the people that got offended about the statues...i suggest they get educated and think of the what the history the statues may have had and who they were in europe many, many years ago....thats if they are copies of great statues from around europe....and stop thinking that they are out there to offend anyone with sexual perversion....jeff
