Ian,
I am sailing on Ms Carousel on Saturday April3rd from Aruba. I will let you know how i founit. Same company. i can tell you that
my neigbour was on the Sundream last month. she said it was excellent value for the money. She rated it 8 out of 10. She has sailed before so she did have something to compare it to. I have also sailed before.
The only comment the neighbour made was that the ship has a lot of British passengers and the deck food caters to them and they did not like the deck food. The other food was great.

Hi Ian & Hazel Page - For some reason, the Sundream and Carousel don't get much response to posted questions about them! I guess these are mainly marketed in England and Canada and maybe there aren't as many people on this BB from those areas. You're right, Hazel Page, about the only comments seem to be on the negative side, but it's hard to know what the basis of comparison is in each case. Hope both of your cruises turn out to be enjoyable! Although it won't be the QE2, it should be a congenial group and service on a smaller ship can be very good!! Good luck to both of you and happy cruising :-)!!

I cannot give you any tips on the MS Sundream but I did come across some reviews on the Airtours group of Ships. My interest was in MS Carousel as I am sailing with them at the end of the year. These reviews were bloody awful so I wrote to Airtours to try and get some re-assurance as our holiday is costing a fair bit!!

I had a call from the MD's Secretary this week who told me that she has just come back from MS Sundream as a passenger and had no problems whatsoever. The reviews I had come across were from Americans who sail on bigger and better ships. The ships in America are mainly 4 to 5 star whereas the Airtours ships are 3 star. She said that she had a brilliant time and the food was good!!!

Hope that helps - happy sailing!
Hazel - let me know what your holiday was like

Ian,
I have responded to Natalie via her own email adress. I have just returned from the cruise on the MS Carousel. It was excellent value for the money. I did not have any complaints. it more than met my expectations. The food was good and the dining room staff and other staff could not do enough for you. the ship is an older one, I believe around the same vinatge as the QE2
(1968)but ample and in good condition.
If you want any further info let me know.
Hazel
