I am leaving Sunday from New Orleans will post my review when I get back.
As far as the ship:Food- make sure if you eat in teh wheelhouse(alternative dining) you check out everything first pizza is great and the pasta bar is done everyday ( at breakfast is omelettes) don't get suckered in to the hot dags and hamburgers everyday. The food in the ining room was better than the last carnival cruise we went on so this was a pleasant surprise.
Entertainment- As much as I expected. Sorry to say but second rate entertainment with the exception of the multi talented musician and the comedian Dave Martin. As far as the cruise director I was not totally impressed (hee haw haw)you will know what that means. I found him a little stand off-ish He could have been friendlier if you saw him during the cruise. the rest of the crew in the social area were very friendly and very competent. I even saw the captain a few times here and there and he was friendly enough to say good morning ( more than the cruise director could do)
The ship: smallest one I have been on but wtih that it had more of the feel of a ship or sailing vessel than something bigger. We did not waiting line for shows and had no problem getting a good seat.
I did not like that fact that no hot tubs were outside. You have to go to the gym and they are separate for men and women.
Overall, A great trip. I think Carnival has changed a lot of thing fot the better in the past few years.
