Looking for a 10 to 14 day cruise (Caribbean or Panama Canal). Have recently been on Splendour of the Seas 11 day. Have looked at Princess and HAL (we are in our 40's and traveling with another couple in 70's). Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

Look at some of the positioning cruises to and from Alaska (May and Sep). They are usually longer and do the Panama Canal. Transatlantics are also longer and quite enjoyable, if you like days at sea. The new Norwegian Sky is also doing a longer positioning cruise in Oct from Boston to Miami with stops in Bermuda, Tortola, St. Thomas, Bonnaire, Curacau, among others. Good Luck, Dave

Celebrity's Galaxy 15 night Panama Canal on April 24 might just be the ticket. It sails from San Juan and stops in Aruba, Cartagena (Columbia), Transits the Canal,Puerto Caldera(Costa Rica), Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas, San Diego, and ends at Los Angeles. My husband and I are on that sailing, and got an astounding deal on it. I'm counting the days.

Good idea's for the repositioning trips. Have done that and they are great. Don't overlook two 7 dayer's back to back East & West. Its the greatest feeling to use that day that everyone is going home to explore the Florida port. And you get to walk on past all those people that were lined up just like you the week previous. We did it on the Zenith a while back and we found we enjoyed that ship or maybe just the "Line" better than the Splendour. I would do the rccl again too however.

I did a 15 day cruise on Regal Princess in October, 1998 that cruisd from San Fransico to Ft. Lauderdale by way of the Panama Canal. We did a full transit of the Canal from the Pacific to the Atlantic which was great! The ship stops in Mexico, Costa Rico, Columbia and Grand Cayman. The passengers were older which may suit your party. It was a great cruise and may be the one for you.

Hi lovetocruise,
We are in our 55+ group and have went on 4 HAL cruises and will be on the Milliennum Cruise. HAL does tend to cater to this age and older. Most of the older people I have seen are having so much fun they are hard to keep up with. Lots of activities. Have fun!!
