-Queen Victoria
-Carnival Triumph
-Costa Atlantica
-Explorer of the Seas

Costa isn't leaving until tomorrow. It's a little difficult since the 6 are docked in 3 different locales. But I'm going to go down by the VNB and see if I can make it through the 2 hour wait to get the other 5.

The only ship on the list I would go out of my way to see is SAGA RUBY. What a beauty!

As beautiful as Saga Ruby is today, she doesn't hold a candle to the way she looked in the mid 70's in her original livery [Norwegian America Line] and without all the "add-ons." I loved her funnel and its colors.

shutterfly pics of 9/26/09 - hopefully this works

minus QV -- by the time Saga came down it was already dark, cold, after 7 and there was still not an inkling of QV.

1 NCL Dawn from 2 weeks ago and 2 videos.

thanks. I've got a new camera with a more zoom so it's much more fun to play with. I almost went for Costa but she didn't leave until after 7 and sunset...maybe next time.

I mentioned in another thread that I was going to Cape Liberty on Saturday and I took about 150+ pictures. I posted a few of them to my Flickr for everyone to check out:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/37196586@N00/sets/72157622345125269/
I've got some really nice pictures of the Explorer in port and heading out, the Caribbean Princess in port (surprisingly clear and nice view for how far away it is) and heading out, the Triumph heading out, and a dredger that pulled in immediately (it moved in so fast that as soon as the Explorer started pulling away from the dock they were swinging around to go in) after the Explorer left.

Nice pictures. It's cool to see the clearance they had as they passed under the Verrazano Bridge. From my angle the clearance was impossible to tell as I could never figure out when they were actually under, beyond, or in front of the bridge. From my pictures I can declare the clearance what ever I want as some show them clearing by a mile and others show them hitting, lol.

I'm glad to hear the Saga Rose did not arrive till 7. I was there from 4:45-5:45 and have been regretting not waiting another 20 minutes to see her (the Triumph took about an hour to arrive after departing) but if she did not arrive for over an hour I'm glad I left. I'm not sure what happened with the Queen Victoria because she should have arrived around 7. Anyone know what happened? Sounds like maybe the Saga Rose could have had an issue that delayed her and subsequently the Victoria.

All lovely photos everyone, thanks. Quite a day

QV cancelled her call at Newport due to the weather and stayed overnight in NYC instead. Anyone would have had a long, cold, damp wait.

She's doing a series of New England cruises before going down to Fort Lauderdale in early November. I thought that was unusual as I don't remember Costa having done that in recent years. Or have I just not noticed?

Even though she is only 9-years-old she was one of the last goodlooking large cruise ships built. W/the way things are going in the industry, there probably won't be another until the new Disney ships come online.

LOL DIEx -- I loved seeing the photos from your angle. Thanks.

I think Carnival got a late start as well. Typically its 1/2 hour down to the Statue of Liberty. I think Saga was delayed as well. It took her a good 40 minutes to get from the edge of the Hudson down to the pier where I was. Glad I didn't stick around any longer waiting for QV. But the funny thing is that I didn't see her on webcam Sunday afternoon. Does anyone know what time she left? (just curious)

Trish, Save or Download the image to a common album or source that doesnt require a password or special access, like Cruise Talk photo albums page (or flickr?). After you have Saved or Downloaded the image, right click on the image, find the Properties, and cut and paste the Properties source address URL between , these are called UBB codes. That works for me.

For instance see the one that Ernst posted above? Hit Reply with Quote button (as if you would to reply to Ernst's post) and see the 'source address' of the image bracketed between the UBB Codes ? That's what it should look like before you post a picture in a thread. Hope this helps.
